ABOUT US
We are Hari and Rathi, the hearts behind Harathi House 202503309799(003794363-P) a little dream that started in Malaysia and found its soul in the fabrics of India.
Harathi was born in the quiet in between moments of our life together over shared chai, folded laundry, long drives, and late night conversations about “one day”. One day, we said, we would create something of our own. Something soft. Something honest. Something that feels like home.
Our Story
Growing up, we were surrounded by the colours, textures, and stories of Indian textiles. The gentle weight of cotton, the rhythm of prints, the whisper of handwoven threads. Even while living in Malaysia, those memories never left us. They stayed with us in the clothes we reached for, the fabrics we loved to touch, and the feeling we got when we wore something that felt like us.
Harathi grew from that feeling.
We imagined a label where:
- Old world craft could live comfortably in a modern wardrobe
- Clothes could feel special, yet easy
- Every piece could carry a story, without needing to shout
So we began to work with artisans and small workshops across India, choosing fabrics that are printed, woven, or finished by hand. Slowly, piece by piece, Harathi took shape.
What Harathi Is

Clothes that breathe in warm weather

Silhouettes that move with you, not against you

Pieces you can wear to brunch, to the market, to a gathering, or simply at home on a slow day
Made by Hands,
Not Just Machines
Many of our fabrics are:
- Hand printed
- Hand dyed
- Or handwoven
Because of this, no two pieces are ever completely identical. A tiny difference in print, a slight shift in colour, a gentle variation in texture; these are not mistakes, they are fingerprints of the hands that made them.
To us, that is the real beauty of craft: it holds the touch of a human being.
What We Believe In
Slowness
We move gently, in small batches, so we can care about every detail
Comfort
If you can’t breathe, move or live in it, then it’s not Harathi
Respect
For the artisans who carry these traditions, and for the earth that gives us these fibres
Everyday beauty
We believe beauty shouldn’t be saved only for special occasions – it belongs to ordinary days too
Our Future Plans
1. More Fabrics, More Regions
We plan to explore textiles from different parts of India, from soft cottons and hand block prints to weaves, textures, and crafts from various states. Each collection will carry a new story, a new region, and new hands behind it.
2. Thoughtful, Small Collections
Instead of big, fast drops, we want to keep creating small, meaningful batches, limited pieces that feel special, personal, and slowly made.
3. Men’s, Women’s & Maybe Kids
As we grow, we hope to expand our range:
- More relaxed, versatile pieces for women
- Easy, crafted everyday wear for men
- And one day, a small, playful kids’ line that carries the same softness and soul
4. Deeper Artisan Partnerships
We want to build long term relationships with artisan clusters and small workshops supporting stable work, fair pay, and preserving traditional techniques that are at risk of fading.
5. More Sustainable Choices
Step by step, we aim to:
- Use more natural and low impact fabrics
- Reduce waste through better cutting and upcycling leftovers
- Choose packaging that’s kinder to the earth
6. Harathi in Your Hands
In the future, we’d love to:
- Host pop ups and small events where you can feel the fabrics in person
- Collaborate with like minded brands, artists, and creators
- Slowly grow from a quiet online label into a community that feels like family
